Each racing day of a typical summer meet (not including Travers Day), guests can enjoy the popular buffet breakfast on The Porch of the Clubhouse at Saratoga Race Course from 7 to 9:30 am. This gives you the unique opportunity to dine trackside while you watch the horses work out.
Gentlemen: suits or sports jackets required (ties are not required). Ladies: dresses, skirts or slack outfits. The Porch, Club Terrace & The Easy Goer: Neat Casual Attire. Gentlemen: No tank tops; no short shorts , cut-offs or abbreviated wear.

Dress Codes Racetracks commonly advise a smart casual dress code for the general public. Examples include nice jeans or slacks with a dress shirt or polo shirt for men or women. Women can also wear sleeveless blouses or summer dresses.
What to Pack for a NASCAR Race Do bring binoculars to a race , no matter where you’re sitting. Do bring a camera with a telephoto lens (which brings the action closer to you) if you want a good picture of the cars on the track . Do bring earplugs, especially for children. Do bring a raincoat. Do dress for the weather. Do wear sunscreen.

Saratoga Springs is known as “the Queen of the Spas.” It has a rich heritage as a health resort and gambling center for much of the 19th and 20th centuries. During the Paleozoic Era, a series of faults or cracks split the underlying bedrock, creating fissures through which water forced its way to the surface.
Fourstardave died in 2002 at the age of 17 and was buried at the track’s Clare Court, joining Mourjane and A Phenomenon. (They’re the only three horses buried there; a fourth, Go For Wand , is buried in Saratoga’s infield.)
From 1943 to 1945, racing was curtailed at Saratoga due to travel restrictions during World War II. Saratoga Race Course has several nicknames: The Spa (for the nearby mineral springs), the House of Upsets, and the Graveyard of Champions.
