In many ways, Truman Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s is a story about the human desire for companionship and love. Although Holly Golightly is an independent young woman who makes her own way in the world and refuses to let others interfere with her individuality, she also appreciates the value of human connection.
In adapting the book, George Axelrod had two main problems : Breakfast at Tiffany’s was too gay, and Holly was too sexual.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s is something that is incomparable in every way. It’s just as unique as you or me. It has its own personality, is going as it’s own pace, the story doesn’t feel made up to appease our needs, and as far as Holly’s concerned, you ‘re just along for the ride. That’s what makes it so magical.
The primary reason Tiffany is popular , though, is that their pioneering approach to jewelry and design has always appealed, and sometimes it has appealed enough that the entire industry is transformed. It was this philosophy of natural beauty, in fact, that led Tiffany to design their signature engagement ring setting.
Film. The novella was loosely adapted into the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s starring Audrey Hepburn and directed by Blake Edwards.

posted by zpousman at 10:49 AM on December 27, 2004. It was a polite way of being paid for spending time with people that she otherwise wouldn’t be spending the time with. I don’t think Holly was a call girl so much as she was a paid companion. Someone that makes an ugly person less ugly.

However, some of the most rare pieces in the world come from Tiffany & Co. Cartier is also a very high-end luxury brand however Tiffany & Co.
It’s not that cheap, though certainly cheaper than gold or other precious metals. Tiffany is a very strong brand name. That’s what you are paying for. It is pretty good quality, but you can find the same thing of better quality and other jewelers for significantly less.
