Claire Standish is in detention for skipping school to go shopping. Her rich dad didn’t care, but her poor, drunk mom got mad at her. Andrew Clark is in detention for taping Larry’s butt together, which his father made him do . Claire (Molly Ringwald, “the princess”) cut classes to hang out with her friends.
The group has been characterized by the partying of members such as Robert Downey Jr ., Estevez, Lowe, and Nelson. However, an appearance in one or both of the ensemble casts of John Hughes’ The Breakfast Club and Joel Schumacher’s St. Elmo’s Fire is often considered the prerequisite for being a core Brat Pack member.
Andrew was in detention with the other four on Saturday. The crime he committed to get in detention was from the pressure of his Dad. He was getting changed after wrestling one day, taping up his knee and saw Larry Lester, a weak kid. He taped Larry Lester’s butt together with the tape he was using for his knee.
Later when the group is discussing what each one of them can do , Claire demonstrates that she can apply lipstick by placing the stick between her breasts.
He lives part of the year in LA and the rest in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he shot The Public. Cincinnati is not exactly known for celebrities and that’s why he likes it. But in classic Estevez style, he was drawn there because it’s where his mother is from.

Appearance. Carl is first seen in the opening sequence. Carl’s entrance prompts Bender to rudely and mockingly suggest to Brian that “his dad ” (referring to Carl; we see Brian’s actual dad at the end of the film) works at the school.
It’s a change from the way they were. Sheen , 45, and Estevez, 48, developed a camaraderie because of their careers. Both became stars quickly — Estevez in 1985 with” The Breakfast Club ” and “St Elmo’s Fire,” Sheen in 1986 with “Platoon” and the following year with “Wall Street.”
During the entire movie you see Bender making fun of Claire , but also entice her, making her wonder about things she never wandered about (the infamous “over the panties… But then, when he’s in the closet Vernon put him in, at the very end of the movie, Claire comes in.
