Sausages can be cooked in numerous ways. In general, boiling and baking are the healthiest methods, as they don’t require much oil. However, pan- and stir-frying are good options as long as you choose a healthy oil.

You don’t have to stand over them, turning them in a frying pan or on the grill . And cooking them on foil means easy clean-up. Prep the sausages by spacing them evenly across a foil -covered pan. Then, depending on their size, bake them for 20 to 40 minutes in the oven at 350 °F (177 °C).
You’ll know your sausages are cooked through properly when the outsides are a lovely golden brown (not too brown or the exteriors go hard and dry), and the insides are a pale brown – there should be no signs of pink meat or bloody juices.

Never, ever prick a sausage . But fat is the flavour, and if you want to avoid fat you should avoid sausages . Low-fat sausages are about as pointless as dehydrated water. Cook sausages slowly over low heat on a greased grill, turning several times.
Don’t bake your sausages While this seems like the healthy option, it doesn’t provide the fry -up experience that pan cooking does. Baking prevents the exterior from developing that lovely umami taste we all crave.
Put a non-stick pan over a medium heat then add the sausages . A little of the fat from the sausages will start to come out as they warm up, turn the sausages in the hot fat to coat them. Keep cooking for 15-20 mins, moving them around in the pan and turning them over regularly so they all cook evenly.
