I mean the shredded kind that come in boxes, not the deep-fried QSR formed hash brown. A: Waffle House does use a dehydrated potato (very similar to what you can buy in the stores in the center of the aisle from Idahoan or Basic American) and they use a butter style oil.
The menu never rests Waffle House is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Also, it doesn’t matter what time you stop in for a meal as they serve everything on their menu around the clock — there’s no distinct breakfast , lunch , or dinner hours, and there’s only one menu (though it has two sides).
So we went to the Waffle House for pancakes only to discover that they don’t offer pancakes . You don’t go to a Waffle House for a fine dining experience. It is a diner and you should expect it to be nothing more than a diner.
This secret menu item is available at most Waffle House locations and is nothing but tasty and hearty. The plate is made up of a pair of hash browns, which are covered up by two sunny side up eggs. A simple dish, that’s worth a spot on the secret menu .
Review of Waffle House . Ask for the $5 Menu ! They have a $5 meal menu , but won’t give it to you unless you ask. The $5 meals are just as good and filling, but the drinks are included (on the regular menu you have to pay for drinks separately). Does Waffle House still have the $5 menu ?

The eggs are just normal eggs they add salt and pepper and cook them with oil. You can get them with cheese too but that’s extra 🙂 That would depend on what you order, but normally nothing but the egg itself. We don’t use fake eggs at all and we only put in what you ask for.
Waffle House uses a high temp oil to season egg pans. They leave the pans on the grill to keep them warm enough to start cooking process upon ordering.
You don’t think they’re buttering your toast with real butter at Waffle House , do you? Waffle House runs on liquid margarine ; gallons and gallons of the stuff go into and on everything, including your toast.

Waffle house’s secret in making them so fluffy is by putting the eggs in an electric egg beater before pouring the beaten eggs into the pan. After turning the beaten eggs over, the ingredients are placed and the other half of the half cooked eggs is turned over the ingredients.

While IHOP may be more popular than Waffle House , Waffle House provides better food and a better atmosphere. Although they are both chains, Waffle House offers a more intimate feel, and a better experience than the International House of Pancakes.
