It’s been six months since McDonald’s removed All – Day Breakfast from its menu in a bid to help its operators improve speed of service at a time when the only business its restaurants had was the drive-thru. All – Day Breakfast still isn’t back.
The chain has offered All – Day Breakfast nationally since 2015, but many franchisees and workers have been critical of the offering since the start, including in this most recent report, with one employee saying, “I absolutely do not think we should bring it back.” Others have said in the past that it clogs up kitchen

Back in March, the fast food chain stopped serving its signature breakfast items all day . “We removed All Day Breakfast from the menu to simplify operations in our kitchens, which we saw provided better speed of service and order accuracy,” a McDonald’s spokesperson said in a statement via email.
Breakfast menu hours vary, too. A common cut-off time is 10.30 a.m., sometimes 11. Some chains, however, offer breakfast all day — among them Dunkin’ Donuts, Jack in the Box , Sonic, and, as of 2015, McDonald’s , which makes most of its morning menu available at all hours.

McDonald’s breakfast hours vary by location, but they begin serving breakfast when a restaurant opens for the day, which at most locations means 7 a.m. Locations that are open 24 /7 could start serving breakfast earlier than that, typically about 6 a.m., but some even start at 4 a.m.!

Salads, bagels and yogurt parfaits are among around 100 items that executives say they removed from menus after the pandemic hit the U.S. to simplify store procedures and supply. The changes mean operators will have to stock fewer goods in their restaurants.
McDonald’s said in a statement to Business Insider that the chain cut menu items in April in an effort to simplify operations while improving customer experience. The company declined to comment on if its salads would return to menus.
Our classic menu items – such as the Egg McMuffin line-up, Big Mac, Quarter Pounder and Chicken McNuggets – are all still available. Restaurants may continue to sell through product, while supply lasts. Throughout, we will look to move back to our regular menu as soon as possible.
After success in a few franchises, McDonald’s decided to expand the McChicken Biscuit and the Chicken McGriddle to restaurants nationwide, the company said in a news release. In 2015, McDonald’s began serving all – day breakfast to its customers. The company also committed to only using cage-free eggs by 2025.
